No Audio on Certain Files?
#1
Solved! Nothing to see here...

Newb here, read the faq and did a few searches but didnt see the answer. Forgive me if I missed it.

Some of my video files in XBMC play video fine but no audio. I get the pop up message saying no audio, please check your settings etc. XBMC plays other files on the same settings without trouble.

The "problem" files with no audio in XBMC play fine (with audio) in VLC players and others.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? I just set up another XBMC box using OpenElec where there are plenty of HDMI audio out issues to fix, but I couldnt find anything here or on Google related to specific file audio issues using Windows based XBMC.

Thanks for the help!

Also, the problem files appear to all be .mkv's from Sickbeard, but some .mkv's do work.

Changed a few words in my searches and found the answer:
