Probably a quick RAM question?
#1
My new ZBOX ID 82 takes (2) 204 pin DDR3 SO-DIMMs. But I am not sure on which to get?

Trying to educate myself on the different options with the frequencies but I get lost.

On the box it says it can take 1333Mhz. Is that the only option? I am fine with that just wondering if it accepts ANY 204 pin DDR3 or a SPECIFIC range of options? Any specific websites that you guys get your memory from? Or just a google search?

I am a noob when it comes to memory...

Thanks for the input ladies and gentlemen

Not sure what country you're in, but Newegg and NCIX (North America) have pretty good prices and selections. In Canada, I use NCIX the most, with directcanada.com a close second. I'm quite sure they are sister sites, but the latter often has better pricing...

1333 looks to be the fastest speed, though it is safe to use RAM spec'ed for higher speeds, but it'll still run at 1333. Latency isn't an issue for HTPCs. So long as it's 204-pin SODIMM and at least 1333mhz, you're good. All i can really suggest is to not get budget RAM.

Thank you for the tips...I am in U.S.

Going to grab (2) 2GB sticks of 1333Mhz DDR3 ram.

Which brands are the "GOOD" ram as apposed to the "budget" ram?

Thank you again gents...
