Bug with handling interlaced video
#1
Thumbs Down
ok, pictures tells more than words - keep attention to the canon logo:
http://www.itcasi.com/yksityiset/teemu.sillanpaa/xbmc/

the coulour edges are ripping when camera is moving horizontally - very annoying. something to do with croma bug? http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_....01.html

and there's major problems still too with the sync and proper field order, despite the advices and special mplayer switches in other threads. xbmc dont seem to understand which field should be shown first and while it losts sync it jumps to the right order - to the wrong order - to the right order - and suddenly to the wrong order. little while playing with rew button helps it to stable to right order... isn't there a flag in mpeg encoding specs that says which field comes first?

good page with example test files to show problems with interlaced video material:

afaik, this issue is being investigated.

also, it's not a bug as much as it is a shortcoming. stay tuned for more info soon (i hope)

edit: it seems that the interlace is always enabled. with the option checked and unchecked i get the same good results.
