Folder jpg's not updating

I have all my movies in individual folders with : moviename.iso, moviename-fanart.jpg and folder.jpg all the folders have the appropriate moviename. Thing is that if the folder.jpg is altered or updated it isn't in the thumbnail view in videos. I have tried 'clean library' but nothing happens. Am I doing sometging wrong?

You need to rescan it...
In usual library mode the thumbs are taken from the thumnail dir and not the moviefolder

Not quite sure what that means. Does that mean refresh library, or re-import library?
