Do you want screens illustrating these points? Overall, it's looking really good - and refreshing.

I also notice looking at that screen that the ratings stars are hard to see in the same manner...

This is what I'm referring to:

doesn´t happen here. what are your color settings?

I changed the color glow to a greyish color using color picker. Made it much easier to see.

In appearance-->settings - I have it set to Lite_Floor for theme and colours

and for anywhere that I chose an area color, I've set it to Dark Blue/labels only.

I think I've found the problem in the Misc. setting "show video info when paused". If I uncheck that, the area color is used. If it's checked, then it shows up like pictured above (and only when paused).

Mine shows video info(directors, playcount, etc) and shows up as the black color I choose for area color.
Theme/Colours both set to lite_floor.

fixed, needs clicking on white in colorchooser again. the label will appear in dark blue then. i recommend to use either white or a dark color.
