I can't seem to get the news widgets to become available to me. I know I had them before, but I recently formatted and now can't get them back. In the skin->help settings, it shows script.rssclient = no. I assume that is why the news feeds don't work, but I can't seem to enable them.
I have downloaded the rss client from the passion repo and it still shows as not loaded. Any suggestions?
Oh, I'm using the 3.5 and the recently posted 3.6 versions.
(I know I had the news working on 3.5 before)

sure you downloaded script.rssclient and not script.rssclient.standalone?

The one I found via XBMC repos was apparently the standalone version, so I downloaded it straight from github and installed it manually. Still shows up as "no" under skin settings.

Those are the ones I downloaded. I installed it and even the debug log says installed. But, the stupid skin settings still says no. And the news widgets are still missing because of it :S

the scripts aren´t recognized at startup. only thing i can imagine is a broken add-on database. try deleting addonsxx.db from userdata/database
