Bug Annoying crashes
#1
I run XBMC from Ubuntu.

I have regularly some crashes when starting some videos.
What is weird is that those videos are not always crashing. If I tried several times, it may be eventually run properly. In any case, the videos are running well outside XBMC with VLC or anyother viewer.

Here below is the crash log after one of those crash.
Is there anything I can do that could help avoiding those crashes ?

(MOD EDIT: Removed log contents pasted directly in post)

first thing you should do when experiencing crashes is install the latest available nightly build.
13.0-ALPHA4 is a couple of months old and this bug might have been fixed since then.

next, install gdb on your system (sudo apt-get install gdb),
it will put the crash backtrace in the logfile, making it more useful for devs to troubleshoot the issue.

also, when you're posting a logfile, make sure debug logging is enabled in xbmc.
