I've used XBMC the last three years, with no problems. Yesterday all videos suddenly started lagging without any change in settings as far as I know. Menu navigation is without any delay or lag, its just that when I start a movie or a TV-show its lagging a lot. If I start the same movie or TV-show outside of XBMC, e.g. in VLC, its flawless.

I tried resetting settings to default, but it didn't change anything. Any ideas?

I would enable debug logging in XBMC, start a video (one that lags) and let it play for a few minutes, exit XBMC, locate your debug log (wiki) and upload it to www.pastebin.com, post the URL link to that uploaded log here so everyone can take a look at it and see if they can identify the problem.
