Home Menu Customization

Hey I was wondering how difficult this would be (or if it's buried in the settings somewhere that I'm not seeing)

What I'd like is to have a horizontal home menu that doesn't "rotate" through all of the options. Basically I'd like for the home menu to be static on the screen, does that make sense?

It'd probably be easier to switch to a different skin, rather than hack the current one. I recommended Transparency!
