Dealextreme just started selling this and I was wondering if it would be a good choice for XBMC?

That device have a Telechip TCC8920 Cortex-A5 processor . Now, the XBMC official repo offers NEON support that means that the builds made using official repo are meant for NEON ready devices:

Nexus 7
Nook Tablet
Samsung Galaxy S III (all variants)
Tegra3
Newer multi-core Samsung devices
Galaxy Nexus
Xperia S ....

and not for non NEON devices, fortunately there is a developer building and giving support for both here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...089&page=5

The Cortex-A5 processors don't have NEON, ARM released other Cortex-A5 processors with NEON as optional but the Cortex-A5 NEON unit is significantly less powerful. Ah and also that chip performs at 400~800 Mhz frequency, that means the box you mentioned is overclocked to 1Ghz and that means expect some heating.

Hope that helps!

That was immensely helpful. Thanks.

EDIT: my mistake. The CX-01 uses a TCC8925 Cortex A5, and not the TCC8920. One site had listed it as using the TCC8920, but cnx-software.com says it's a TCC8925, and I'd trust them more about those specs.
