Wanted Hi10p support for my video so I tried frodo alpha3 build, but certain videos especially 1080p content with 5.1 audio would stutter really bad. The subtitles would flicker and xbmc mouse response got laggy as well. This didn't happen in Eden, they played smoothly. I tried disabling DXVA and used software decoding but no difference.
Anyone else experienced this?
Win7 64bit, Intel Q6600, 256gb SSD, 8GB Ram is my setup.

Hmm.. This has me wondering.. I'm using an XBMC Frodo build from a few nights back and on our much older Pioneer HDMI display -- live TV is unwatchable -- with frame rates down in the 3.5fps range and then they shoot up to 60+ and then back into the gutter again.. I will be doing more diagnosis on this, this evening -- I'm going to try regular videos to see how they fare (that will rule out my NPVR plugin) as NPVR works fine for me by itself (w/o XBMC).. When this happens the mouse is very difficult to control -- very jerky until I shutdown the streaming..

Seems to be related to dolby digital ac3 audio?
Ok I just had to change my audio output settings. I had it set to HDMI which is fine, but Dolby Digital capable receiver was selected. Un-checking this fixed the problem.
I'm running HDMI straight from my video card to my tv.

Ditto.. I unchecked most of the features as my Pioneer display is very old -- that solved all of my stuttering & lack of audio.. Now I just need to fix the occasional buffering issues.. I installed the latest nightly build but it wasn't much different in that regard..
