$39.99 - 15% off w/ promo code SSPSU15, ends 8/13 = $33.99 + free shipping

It does not come with a power cord.

What kind of power cord would I need? Sorry, kind of a newb at this (if it isn't painfully obvious by now)

I have like 30 of them power cords laying around ready to go to recycle....

I really like the power supplies that have a 120MM fan...... they are less noisy....

I've heard good things about SeaSonic. Do you think something like this would work better then?

Perfect. I'm pretty sure I have a power cord or two floating around, so I should be ok there.

Here is a link to a power supply calculator. This will tell you if you can use a pico based on your peak wattage.

By that calculator it says that my minimum wattage is around 290w and my recommended is around 345w. Does that mean I should be looking a little bigger than the 300w SeaSonics above?

This is not a direct answer but... You need to cover what your max power consumption could be.

Here's what I came up with on that calculator:

Quote:System Type: 1 physical CPU
Motherboard: Regular - Desktop
CPU Socket: Socket FM1
CPU: AMD A6-3650 2600 MHz Llano
CPU Utilization (TDP): 90% TDP
RAM: 2 Sticks DDR3 SDRAM
Video Card 1: AMD Radeon HD 5670

IDE HDD 7200 rpm: 1 HDD
Green SATA: 1 HDD
Flash SSD: 1 Drive
Blu Ray Internal Drive: 1 Drive
PCI TV Tuner - Cable: Yes
Additional PCI Card (avg): 1 Card
PCI-e x1 Card: 1 Card
USB: 1 Device
IEEE-1394 FireWire: 1 Device
Fan Controller: Yes
Front Bay LCD Display: Yes
Fans
Regular: 2 Fans 80mm;
LED: 1 Fan 92mm;
Keyboard and mouse: Yes
System Load: 90 %

Minimum PSU Wattage: 292 Watts
Recommended Wattage: 342 Watts

It's very possible I put something in wrong. I was trying to put it on the high end, but I may have overdid it. Does that seem right?

Edit: I assume that since the GPU is integrated on the CPU I don't have to add that in the calculator? And since the Fan Controller I plan on using is an LCD display, just check the LCD display box?

The GPU in CPU does not count as a video adapter or added wattage. Not sure on the LCD controller. Just say you have a controller to be on the safe side if you like.

My guess is they are saying anything from 300 to 350 would work.

You should try and run it on the high side to make it more efficient.

Like others are saying... 300watts is fine.

Sounds good to me! Thanks for the input
