RunAddon to path

Is there any way at all, of having a button which opens an addon to a specified path. I understand RunAddon only has the parameter of script id, but it'd be amazing if i could have a way to open an addon to a path of say "Movies" in 1channel

i.e:
RunAddon2(1channelid,"Movies")

Any help would be appreciated, by either using different pre-existing commands, or editing the python scripts to create a new command.
