first of all thank you guys for stopping by....i have XBMC installed on my PC and Laptop, all my media is in my PC and i want to know if i can use SBM to stream to my laptop? is there a guide that can show you step by step? ive been on google and here searching for an answer and there has been some close ones but i just dont understand it....im sorry if this has been answered before but i just cant find anything...thank you once again.

thank you for the links...they helped a lot and i went with link #2 and i did step by step but i still dont get how to go from starting xbmc on my laptop and stream the movies that are on my PC that ive installed MySQL? sorry i know ive just started messing with this the last time i used xbmc was on my old xbox which at the time was "new" thanks again.

Are you trying to use file sharing (Windows Sharing/SMB) from the PC to the laptop, or are you trying to share the library from one XBMC device to the other (both pretty much do the same thing, but one way is easy and the other way you only have to set up once. Actually there are three ways, but I'll let you answer before I get that far)?

well thanks for helping me out. im just trying to do whatever is easier...i want to be able to share the folder were my movies are on PC to my laptop...like when i go into XBMC and in my laptop and tell it to look in my PC for the movies....i hope im making sense. but if there is an easier way of doing this i would take any suggestions. I just have all my movies on my pc which is out of reach from my tv so i want to be able to use my laptop to streeam them...sorry if im not making any sense.
