I have an older PC I'm trying to use as a HTPC. All I get when I click on XBMC is a crash dialog on a black background.

The Specs:

Athlon XP 3000+
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
1 GB Ram
ATI All-In-Wonder (Radeon 9700 Pro)
Windows XP SP3
Directx 9.0c

The Logs:

Over Remote Desktop:

http://pastebin.com/yXc595Vr

On the computer directly:

http://pastebin.com/Krht1edn

The logs don't seem to tell me much. Am I missing something? The manual says that a Directx 9.0c card should be able to handle XBMC. Is that correct, or is the video card just never going to work in Windows? Another part of the manual says that the 9700 is too old. So I'm a little confused. The XBMCbuntu (Live) seemed to work, so I'm holding out hope.

Thanks.

Nice that a XBMCbuntu (Live) worked... I'd be tempted that direction. Anyway I've got a system with the same MB on XP3 'Barton 2500+' with a Radeon 3650 and it will run Dharma fine, but the graphic card coughs on Eden. Don't expect hardware accleration on an XP system either. I think Linux is the answer for these older systems..
