Its here, the new version of the online PixelGrafters FanArt Search Engine! The functionality of the old FanPics website has been incorporated into the new site and the old FanPics Website is now gone. PixelGrafters now searches both Movies and TV Shows!
When searching it will provide you with a blistering amount of artwork from multiple online sources (fanart.tv, thetvdb.com, themoviedb.org) based on the Movie or TV Show you select. This saves so much time when sourcing artwork for your media centre manually which originally required you to trawl through artwork on multiple different websites.
The new website has been coded using PHP, CSS & jQuery. All artwork is scraped from multiple sources and loaded into the page using ajax saving on page refreshes and loading time. Its a brand new interface with a stylish and modern new look which I hope people will find pleasing to the eye.
The front page now has a fancy javascript scroller, scrolling through the latest movies currently in the box Office. More features will come to the website gradually as I think of them or receive feature requests you post here on this thread. You can also post bug reports here until I get a proper system in place on the website itself.
As it is now I hope its all enjoyed by the community and comes in handy for you, hopefully saving many of you time and effort. I look forward to any feedback you guys can give me. Thanks
SIDE-NOTE:
- If your using Internet Explorer then bad luck, this website probably wont work ever until you get a better browser!
- Firefox users, sorry but it won't look as fancy due to lack of support for cool things like reflections, but it should still work, let me know if there are issues in firefox.
- Chrome users you are the lucky ones, it will look and work fantastically as chrome is awsume!
