Hi guys with my intentions to build a server using unRaid i was wondering if there is any software out there that will allow me to (besides the obvious stuff)

- Remote access my files for uploading and downloading using ANY browser (with good security and maybe guest or restricted accounts)
- Remote access view/edit/play for the iPhone/ipad (both jailbroken)
- Ability to monitor who access the server and how much bandwidth they consume

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Which operating system will your server use? If it is Windows or MAC, you can consider deploying on premise remote support appliance such as RHUB appliances in order to remotely access server; have a view only remote connection from iPad or iPhone and can even monitor who all accesses your server through its monitoring feature.

OwnCloud for remote file access and subsonic for remote streaming.

I believe there is a subsonic plugin for unraid, but owncloud may be more tricky.

For #1 I use openvpn. Unfortunately there is no openvpn server package for unraid (no one has compiled one). I ended up putting it on my router (ddwrt with openvpn)

For #2 you can try either plex or airvideo. both have unraid plugins for their servers

For #3 With openvpn, you can access the web gui of unraid to monitor
