#1
Hello Guys,

Sorry for the stupid question but I am in the process of building my first HTPC- Wesena E5 + AMD A8-3820 ( pictures to follow soon) And would like to know if I need thermal paste on the Gelid Slim Silence A2 prior to installing on the mobo?

Thanks

Yes, you should apply thermal paste between the CPU and CPU heatsink/cooler.

Hi

I read the spec on their website and it says it does come with some pre-applied thermal compound.

Is it advisable to spread a bit more compound on the cpu itself prior to installation to further improve cooling? or will i be ok with just the pre-applied compound on the cooler?

Cheers

If thermal compound is pre-applied, you don't need to add more.
