is it possible to reduce the heat and have my system completely silent in sleep mode.ive googled it but cant find an answer.ive tried messing around with speedfan but dont think its working.

What OS are you using?
And have you configured the advanced options in Speedfan correctly for your system?

If your system is actually in suspend mode, the fan(s) should spin down. Minimal power is used, primarily to keep the RAM active.

my laptop has absolutely no heat or sound when i put it to sleep and im basically tryin to get my zotac the same.That bios setting must be why nothin was changin.Thanks again.
EDIT:i read somewhere about changin from s1 to s3 in BIOS but never saw it.Just found it there and that did the trick. Never needed speedfan.its under advanced ,ACPI configuration, general for anyone wondering.
