MCE Remote..IR light not blinking.

alright guys first of all thanks for stopping by...its almost 2am and i cant really find an answer so this is my last resort. I just got an original MCE Remote with an adapter. everything works fine except some keys like right,up, #7 etc.. when i hit these keys i dont see the red light on the infrared adapter blink but when i hit any other one it blinks an carries out the function. My question is do i have a bad remote? can someone out there point me in the right direction? thank you.

Did you check whether these keys work in xbmc or in other applications? If they are not working then get a replacement.

I checked with windows media center as well and it doesn't work

Probably it is faulty. Get a replacement.

thanks guys, i opened it up to clean it and there was battery acid all over so yeah need to get a new one...but you cant blame me i bought it at a goodwil for 50 cents! lol once again thanks for the help.
