HDMI splitter?
#1
I've got a Projector and a TV. I've got a one-output receiver.

Debating getting something like:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380264495283?s...1423.l2649

Anyone have any experience/thoughts on suchlike? Do they work? Do they cause any type of issues (image quality? syncing? Damage to devices?)

Thanks =)

What about a 1 X 3 or a 1 X 4 incase you want to deliver the video to other rooms?

I was going to suggest monoprice and a 1 X 4 but you live in the UK.

One thing I find fascinating about these devices is that they contradict what I understand from HDMI.

As I understand HDMI one of the main points is that the DRM that's built into the hardware demands an end-to-end unbroken connection between the source (say a BD player) and a destination (say an AV receiver), and whenever that link ends, from then on the connection can only be 'low quality' - whatever that means.

The device I linked does look a little shady "Lenkeng" brand, and it apparently outputs the same incoming stream (say the BD video) into two display devices, meaning that it would either be something pretty spiffy (and presumably pricy), being that it essentially needs 3 separate HDMI chipsets to talk to eachother.

A device like this one each connection can negotiate its own resolution and you can connect up 4 devices.

Reliable HDMI Splitter products and solutions will work well for you. I have used a few units from KVMSwitchTech in the past and must say it is one of
the better products on the market as far as HDMI goes.

I have the same setup as you. I bought this splitter from Monoprice (revision 1) 2 years ago. It has been working great with 0 issues. Splits HDMI out from my Yamaha receiver to Sony TV and Epson Projector. So yes, they work. Trying finding something similar.
