Best NVidia VDPAU Card for Linux?
#1
Hi,

because i'm planning to build up a new HTPC based on Linux i wonder which available NVidia Card is the best for running XBMC? Currently i'm running XBMC with a (rather outdated) onboard 9300. With this card the best deinterlacer i can use for 1080i material is temporal(half) which is not the best result...

So my question: which NVidia card is capable of running temporal spatial deinterlacer with 1080i material? Has anybody experiences with the GT430? I read somewhere that even with this card temporal spatial is not possible...is that true? Are there any better cards? May be this one: GTS450 Huh Has anybody experiences with this card? Rather huge... Rofl The card should be passively cooled...i like silent HTPC's...

And...Linux and VDPAU is mandatory...Windows is no option Big Grin

Cheers Louis
