Kind of funny that it is stilled referred "HTS" in XBMC, because "HTS" is not the same as Tvheadend any longer, and Tvheadend is not part of the HTS project any more.

HTS (Home Theater System) media center suite, later renamed to "Showtime", is a media player frontend (competing with XBMC) that only integrates Tvheadend, though both are from the same developer.

They where previously called "HTS Showtime" and "HTS Tvheadend" when they was part of the same suite, which might be the reason for the name misunderstanding.

So the the "pvr.hts" addon for XBMC should really be renamed to "pvr.tvheadend" in order to end this confusion for new users and developers.

XBMC will not be shipped with PVR add-ons.
I understand why PVR client addons will not be shipped with XBMC, but why are all code for the PVR client addons not hosted in the XBMC's GitHub repository?

https://github.com/xbmc/

Would it not be easier for new developers to find them here, and simpler if the team managed the common repository?

Alternatively perhaps start a new "Organization" project on GitHub as a common repository for all of the PVR client addons code?

Must be better like that for everyone than if they continue to be hosted under an individual's GitHub repository like it is today?

I only want to know which tvheadend repo is now recommended in combination with your xbmc-pvr-addons repo. The newly created one or your good old one. ;-)

Also mine isn't related?

there's a sticky topic right next to this one that points to the tvheadend repos
