OpenElec with XBMC PVR
#1
Hi! I'm new to XBMC and very n00b to Linux. I'm using MediaPortal on my Win7 based HTPC but I would like to try out OE with XBMC PVR, but I do have a few questions.
The HTPC is an Asus HTPC board with HD4200 Radeon, Athlon X2 420, 2GB RAM, Cinergy C PCI HD DVB-C card for FTA cable channels (my provider does not scramble the signal), Antec Mini HTPC case with iMon VFD + Harmony as remote.

1) Is XBMC capable now of Timeshifting? I mean: to pause a LiveTV stream, then play it again, to rewind, of ff, so basic timeshifting functions?
2) If I schedule a recording, can I start to watch the recording in progress stream from beginning while the recording is not finished yet?

I do not use a server for TV, it is a same HTPC. However, I do use an Atom based ITX machine for storing my movies, music, etc that is accessed via home LAN.

Many thanks!
