Just installed XBMCbuntu onto an old laptop to serve as a little media hub. I completely overwrote the old operating system during the install. I don't have any experience with linux before, and I'm having troubles here. Everything installed smoothly, but at the UI the framerate is ridiculously low (~1.5 FPS) with high cpu usage (~60% average, alternates near 100% per core with low on the other)

I don't even know where to start on this, specs on the laptop are posted below:

2 GB Memory
integrated graphics (ATI Radeon Xpress 1150)
