Got rid of resolution exclusions and added prefered resolution which was better way of getting
the actual resolution you want

min filesize: Self explanatory
max filesize: Self explanatory
exclude languages: (Just enter i.e german french italian) remember though lots of mkvs has multiple audio so if there is an mkv with german in the title but has english audio aswell it will not return that mkv's see how you get on works well if your only searching avi's
exclude resolution: ( just enter i.e 1080 ignore p's or i's)this is my personal favourite newsgroups: (if you are a hardcore easynews man you will know what this does you can just define what newsgroup you search from you can add all favourites online so you dont get any porn or languages you dont like i.e if you only want results form alt.binaries.movies just enter movies or for your favourites just enter "favs" you get me!!
remove duplicates as standard keep this on!
spam filter as standard keep on too!
also added group exclusions which you can add in your preferences online and add i.e "erotic" and when exclusions
is enabled it will filter all that crap out

Hi, just found this, have signed up for 14 day trial, and a lot of choices, but i select a movie or tv show, it says there so many links, then i get a script error everytime, nothing plays, any ideas?

Read the setting up of easynews link

You needed to turn on easy boost online

Also if you dont specify minimum file size In addon settings you'll have 1000 of results

Hi mate, have done the set up, set filter, and i can get music to play, the problem is tv shows and movies, i can see the posters for the movies and tv shows, i select the movie i want to watch, it says theres 7 links, it says ok, but as soon as i press ok, i just get script error everytime!
Will have to post a log at some point, as am dumbfounded as to why it won't play anything!

Rather than posting log go into user data/easynews and post your setting XML obviously delete you user and pass before posting

hi, erm....this is the part where u say to your screen..dumbass, lol, i had not seen the boost ath the top of the screen, i only looked in preferences to be honest!! Sorry for that!

All in all, am loving this now, am sure a free account is not gonna last me long, so, if all goes well, i may have to sign up, which one would you recommend, given i will be using this for tv and movies.

glad you sorted it..........i personally have the 40gb option but it rolls over so you keep the gigs............i have been with them ages and have 1200gb in my gig bank

Hi - awesome plugin - I'm a very long time easynews subscriber, so this is right up my alley.

One thing I think would be awesome is to have saved searches show up in the plugin somehow, perhaps on the first screen along with TV and Movies. The user would setup the search however they want in the easynews web interface, and then be able to get the results in XBMC. Would that be hard to do?

Hi,

This does look brilliant. Quick questions though.

I just want to make sure I understand how this works. I have to manual generate a list of all the shows or movies that I like, externally to the plugin (with my PC or smartphone). There is no way to search for content in the plugin and add it to my list, right?

Is it possible to use different newsgroups servers like AstralWeb?

Forget it. I installed it and gave it a try. IMDB is just an extra feature but not a requirement. I'm going to assume that EasyNews is the only provider supported.
