Right now I have a Win 7 machine that I have all my content on that also has XBMC on it. That machine also serves content to another XBMC I have installed on another Win 7 machine in another room. I figure it is about time that I introduce a server for my content so that I have better backup options, centralized storage, etc. So my thought process is that I can use WHS 2011...cheap and easy and does what I need it to do. However, I currently use an HDHomerun to view live TV in XBMC. If I run the HDHomerun through WHS 2011 and have it store the .strm files on the server will it be possible to add that folder as a video source in my client XBMC installs to view Live TV still?
If so, does anybody know of a way to tie the .strm files to a TV Guide interface so that I can have a guide of some kind?
Thanks in advance.
