OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi
I am playing movies throught movies25/HD Movies and all seems ok there is buffering on some but I think that is more to do with the feed rather than the build I will keep testing and keep you posted
Can you guys take a look at this thread about high cpu usage when recently added is visible and when navigating through settings?
TIA

fixed my issues I just tried 2.99.3 and the audio sync issue is still in that build hope that helps. I am rolling back to your build to double check
Thanks!!

Your Frodo Final 3 build (r13356) started my movies without problems (though I can't be exactly sure as the issue only appears occasionally). Maybe it's one of those two patches as the "build 'last' chance" had the issue:

[rbp] Fix for stuttery video when seeking before zero
[rbp] Handle resolution changes during video stream.
Thanks. I check it.

Now I don't have a clue what is going on.
I did a fresh install this morning updated to OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20130221152932-r13354(test).tar.bz2 and the audio worked perfectly. I then updated to 2.99.3 and the audio sync issue came back. So I went back to OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20130221152932-r13354(test).tar.bz2 the audio is out of sync again so I rollback to 2.99.1 check the audio sync is good update to OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20130221152932-r13354(test).tar.bz2 and the audio sync issue is back. I am going to do another fresh install and see what happens but this is strange
I did a freash install of tuxen's img and updated to OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20130221152932-r13354(test).tar.bz2 and updated the advancedsettings.xml and I still have the audio sync issue. For shits and giggles I updated to 2.99.3 and still way out of sync. Time for a walk to clear my head me thinkings
With the current rbej builds playback always stops/crashes at the hbo logo/noise.

Just for me?

Edit:
Tested the newest build, works nkw
Good news! This build from post #1409 is working very well, even 1GHz overclocked and booted over NFS:

(without 4 Popcornmix patches and without Both HDMI and Analog audio output patch)

If you provide links to the patches you have removed, and tell me where they need to go, I'll try performing some builds here which might lessen your load....

Thanks; have reproduced here with the addition of those patches, will spend a bit of time working through and see if I can identify which one (or more) is the problem (if you don't beat me to it!)

Thank You very much for your help!!!. Today and tomorrow im very bussy and i no have time to check this patches.

@rbej/popcornmix:

Having confirmed all five patches together causes the dark grey background/unplayable media in my build, I skipped the seek-before-zero patch (as that seemed like a good place to start), while still applying the other four patches.

With this 4-patch only build, everything is working fine, playing all media as expected - can you confirm/reproduce? I've rebooted 3-4 times with this new SYSTEM image, and each time all media is playable, with XBMC working as expected. This is on a 512MB Pi, 128MB GPU, 1GHz overclock, booted over NFS, media on NFS.

I then built the image again, this time with only the seek_before_zero patch, and... (drum roll)... no media is playable: dark grey background, no playback, stay on main menu, etc. etc.

So for me, it looks like the seek_before_zero patch is the culprit. The patch is applying cleanly, with no obvious build issues:
Code:
APPLY PATCH (project):   /home/neil/myOpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/projects/RPi/patches/xbmc/seek_before_zero.patch
patching file xbmc/cores/omxplayer/OMXPlayerAudio.cpp
patching file xbmc/cores/omxplayer/OMXPlayerAudio.h
patching file xbmc/cores/omxplayer/OMXPlayerVideo.cpp
patching file xbmc/cores/omxplayer/OMXPlayerVideo.h
patching file xbmc/cores/omxplayer/OMXVideo.cpp

If you want me to debug some more, just let me know (happy to test an alternative patch, etc.)

No worries, happy to help out. Smile
