No problem. I know some of the members have put in SilenX EFX-08-12 80mm's, but the Enermax UC-8EB are supposed to be really good fans as well.

That's not too bad for prices. I generally use PCPartPicker.com to help find the lowest prices.

so i've got all the components and have put them all together... but when i turned it on, it did not boot up, the bios did not even come up.
then i disconnected the hdd, odd and ram to see if they made any difference, but it's the same... cpu fan worked and the power light lit up.. so i know that the mobo is getting power.. but nothing else.. no beep, nothing...

anybody has experienced this? how to troubleshoot??

You've probably already did this,..but recheck every connection and trace all wires back and forth.
Then,,,,have someone double check for you.
You may have missed one power connection to the mobo.
It is a frequent oversight,...so don't worry.

When I first assembled mine I had connected the 24 pin power, but missed the 8 pin CPU power plug. Make sure that all power connections outlayed in your motherboards manual are connected with the PSU.

Out of curiosity, why did you go with such a big SSD drive?

Are you running Linux XBMC?

yes.. planning to run linux xbmc (still in progress)
found the SSD on sale.. around $65 .. about the same price as smaller SSD.. so i thought no harm in putting bigger ssd...

A bigger ssd actually preforms better, if you don't need all the space then leave some unformatted (format 90-100GB of a 120GB drive)
SandForce controllers and newer will take note of unformatted space and will use this together with trim to increase performance significantly.
