Hello!
I've a XBMCbuntu setup which I use to also watch home videos. While my sony dvd handycam recorded .mpg files play fine, the files recorded with my Panasonic Lumix ZS7 digicam has issues. The files are in 720p AVCHD format. When the files start playing on xbmc, the video stutters for atleast 3-4 seconds where as the audio continues smoothly. After that the video is smooth but the audio is ahead of the video by 3-4 seconds for the complete playback of the video. This also means that there is no audio for the last few seconds of the video playback.
I tried a few video sync options in video settings but this had no effect. I can share a sample video if required.

I have a Panasonic Lumix TS2 that uses the same 720p AVCHD format and I used to have problems playing the files un Linux but I just tested them again (I haven't in a long time) and they are working great now under my XBMC install with a nightly build installed.

I have problems were some 1080i/50 M2TS files created by Sony Vegas Pro play for a few minutes then then experience stuttering. If I use ffmpeg to change container to MKV, the files play without any problems. I am using recent Fernet Menta's git builds, as I did find in the past that it played my M2TS files (and other regular content) somewhat smoother than the standard XBMC.
