[Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR
With Frodo, RTSP is still not working.
With the last nightly (20.07.13) I get the message 'Dependencies not met'.

Make sure you're using Frodo 12.2. However I noticed that the ffmpeg version shipped with Frodo doesn't really like RTSP and switching time increased for me. If you're using linux (like me) your XBMC will probably be linked against the systems ffmpeg so you won't face any problems although using Frodo.
That said RTSP *is* working. Just tested and watched livetv via RTSP on Windows a few minutes ago. And using the Nightly or a current ffmpeg it's also equally fast.

Yeah, they bumped the PVR API patch number. Thanks for notifying.
I've updated the build. You can either re-download the dev snapshot or replace "1.8.0" with "1.8.1" in pvr.dvbviewer/addon.xml on your own.
Thank you for your work.
I now use the nightly and everything is fine with your update but RTSP still not work.
No problems using DVBViewer as a RTSP-Client.

Probably ffmpeg related. Try enabling debug log, enable RTSP, switch channel, open xbmc.log located in %appdata%\XBMC\userdata\ and search for "DVBViewer". You'll see something like:
Code:
PVRFile - Open - playback has started on filename pvr://channels/tv/All TV channels/<num>.pvr
DEBUG: CDVDInputStreamPVRManager::Open - stream opened: rtsp://<rtsp url>
[...]
DEBUG: ffmpeg: [rtsp]
[more ffmpeg stuff]
Code:
DEBUG: Error, could not open file rtsp://1root:[email protected]:554/?src=1&freq=11362&msys=dvbs2&plts=on&fec=23&pol=h&ro=0.35&sr=22000&mtype=8psk&tnr=1,11362,22000,9750,0,0,0,2,6120,6110,6100,11110,134,0,24,0,1011,1&pids=0,18,6100,6110,6130,6120,6121,6123,6122,
there is a '1' ahead my username 'root'..that's wrong. If i use the DVBViewer rtspchannels.m3u and open it with VLC everything is ok...
Code:
.
#EXTINF:-1,FAV - ZDF HD (deu)
rtsp://192.168.0.2:554/?src=1&freq=11362&msys=dvbs2&plts=on&fec=23&pol=h&ro=0.35&sr=22000&mtype=8psk&tnr=1,11362,22000,9750,0,0,0,2,6120,6110,6100,11110,134,0,24,0,1011,1&pids=0,18,6100,6110,6130,6120,6121,6123,6122,
.
it also works with '..rtsp://root:mypassword@..'..so what is wrong...is 'root' in this case not allowed?
.
I hope XBMC use rtsp over TCP/IP..over UDP with VLC, I have glitches/artefacts.
Haha, Nice catch. The "1" is from the ip address 192.168.0.2. That's because during adding username+password the plugin searchs for "http:" and if not found "https:" is assumed. Since length("https:") != length("rtsp:") the position for inseration is wrong.
Fix is committed, rebuilding right now.

Update: both builds have been updated. Please re-test.
Big Grin good job, it works now with rtsp>UDP/IP, but with horrible artefacts @higher bit rates (>11Mbits/sec)..

Image

..lower bit rates/SD channels are fine.
Same glitches/artefacts with VLC watching HD channels over RS rtsp-Server.
My LAN is ok and I think that issue is RecordingService related...Huh
Hi

Could it be, that the currently snapshot build is not syncing the channel numbers correctly anymore if using the favorites file instead ?

All my channel orders are all messed up (favorites with four groups).... tried to delete tv.db and epg.db... no luck.

Thanks for an input

Possible. The favourites xml scheme is quite messy. During rewrite I tried about 5-7 different combinations of favs with groups, favs without groups, favs with groups + favs outside groups, multiple favs of the same channel in different groups, etc.. All testcases I came up with passed the new code.
But if you think the order is wrong, please create a new bug report on https://github.com/manuelm/xbmc-pvr-addons/issues. Please attach the output of http://<your_rs_host>/api/getchannelsxml.html?subchannels=1&rtsp=1&upnp=1&logo=1 + http://<your_rs_host>/api/getfavourites.html and a short bug description (e.g. which channel is wrong). Also make sure you save the content as XML (HTML is valid too), not TXT.

I'm on vacation right know. So it will take about 3 weeks.

PS: the old/origin code shipped with Frodo is far more buggy than the new one Smile e.g. didn't handle favourite groups at all

I've been using the plugin since the start and favourites groups have always been handled without problems here.

Hi and Thanks

I will do that... maybe i can find the problem myself using the above "debugging tools" :-) and somehow circumvent or fix it myself.

I was using groups in dvbviewer but never cared about them in xbmc... so i can't tell. All i know is... that my first channel is supposed to be SF1 but now it's ORF1 ;-)
Thanks for your continued work on this manul and enjoy your well-earned holiday!

Just to add, I'm getting the messed up channel list as well, using favourites on a newish nightly build (win 7 64-bit) - but at least I'm getting some channels now, which was a problem until recently! epg timeline is still way off too (I've never got that working properly).

Work in progress as they say Big Grin
hmmm.... from what it seems... the dvbviewer side is all just fine.... channel names, group names, channel id's....strange...

Hi. Please either submit a bug report or just send me the data via PM. Otherwise I can't fix it Wink

Sure!! I'll be on vacation next week... well.. actually i saw your message right now, while shutting down my Systems before leaving :-)

Let me see if i can gather the Information right now.

sorry... i must be either stupid or too tired... i couldn't find a way to upload xml files in a pm and github also... i've created an issue on github with a screenshot and copy/pasted the favorites.xml output from RS.

https://github.com/manuelm/xbmc-pvr-addons/issues/1

If you need more... i'd be glad to send it to you after my vacation.
