I have an old laptop I don't use anymore so I decided to throw XBMCbuntu on there. The issue I'm having is that my TV isn't giving my graphics card any EDID information and I'm getting 640x480 at best. I couldn't get information from xrandr for a while until I issued the command which, honestly, I found from another site and am not entirely sure on what that did. Anyways, I did get information from xrandr and could not add a new mode. I added modes to xorg.conf with no luck.
The laptop is an AsusG1 with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7700. Outside of XBMCbuntu I have been able to receive higher resolutions out of that port. The XBMCbuntu splash screen appears to be at a much higher resolution but when XBMC opens it goes back down to 640x480. I do not have much experience fooling around with X so any insight would be helpful. I have my xorg.conf and the xrandr output available at pastebin. If anything else is needed I can get that to you.
