After using XBMC on Ubuntu 11.04 and finding my 1080p .mkv video to be choppy, I switched to XBMC live to see if that improved things, which it did tremendously.
Now the final issue i have is analogue surround sound. I am very new to linux and need to find a method to re-task my rear MIC and LINE-IN (pink and blue) ports to allow them to output Rear Surround and Center/Sub audio channels. (ports are picked up in mixer, but as inputs)
Have looked all over for solutions and cant seem to find anything that makes any sense. I assume I will have to edit some sound mapping file. Any advice on what file and how I need to edit it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Simon
