Linux DVI to HDMI disable audio
#1
Hi to everybody.
I've installed XBMCubuntu on my DELL Optiplex 760 Ultra Small Form Factor.
I used DVI to HDMI cable to connect the pc to TV (Sony bravia) and plugged the analog audio cable to tv (the manual tell to use the HDMI port 2 with the analog audio input).
In this configuration, I can not hear the audio, but if I unplug the hdmi from the tv, the audio works correct.
Searching on internet, I've found many post with this problem and some people tell to use the EDID to disable the audio signal in the hdmi cable, in order to instruct the tv to use analog audio input instead hdmi.
Can someone help me, how to do this in xbmc?
