I am ripping my Battlestar Galatica series to my media server and in the season 4 box is a blu ray for "Razor". Thetvdb.org lists that as a special in season 3. Would I put it in the season 3 folder and name it s00e01.mkv?

XBMC doesn't care about the season folders IIRC, so all season 0, season 3 and specials would work.

It doesn't matter. Smile You can put it in Season 3 folder or create Season 0 folder, because XBMC uses only SxxEyy for season/episode identification.

Note that TVDB lists Razor as S00E04 and S00E05, not S00E01. If your source combines those two episodes in one episode, rename it like S00E04-05. You can check numbering of those pesky specials here: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...5950&lid=7

Only the bold parts are relevant to the scraper. (Assuming default scraper settings.)

- TV Serie name
--- Season xx
----- whatever SxxEyy whatever.ext

or

- TV Serie name
--- whatever SxxEyy whatever.ext

Well, thetvdb.org showxs it in season 3. Thanks for the info on how to name it. The blu ray does in fact have the 2 parts in 1 file.

It does indeed show specials mixed in real seasons too, but you should always take numbering from "specials" section. XBMC will show it correctly in Season 3 anyway (and in Specials too).

How do I know this? I have remuxed (not re-encoded) the whole BSG 2003 bluray box (only stripping unneeded subtitles and audio tracks) and named those correctly a couple of months ago. Whopping 655 GB! Rofl

So I can name the file s00e01-02 and put it in my Season 3 folder and the scraper will recognize it has Razor?

No. Razor isn't S00E01-02. That is "Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries". Razor is S00E04-05. Specials must be numbered according to TVDB's "Specials" page. You can put it in any subfolder you wish if you name it S00E04-05.

If you look at TVDB's page: http://thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=episode...&id=331114 (page for first part of Razor), you see that there are couple of interesting fields

Aired Episode Number: 4
- This is where that S00E04 comes from.

Airs After Season: 3
Airs Before: 04x01 - He That Believe... (2008-04-04)
- This is how XBMC knows where to put those episodes. XBMC's scraper is smart enough to use that information Smile
