Hello, I'm new to this forum, but I have been using xbmc for some time now. I am just wondering if I could use my Laptop as a htpc?

I'm thinking about hooking up my Laptop to my HDTV via HDMI and leaving my laptop under the TV stand.
My Laptop specifications:
HP G62-450 SA
Intel Core i3-350M Processor 2.7GHz
Hard drive 500GB
3GB of RAM
Intel HD graphics

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

An easy way to test it is to run one of the "live" XBMC distros, such as XBMCbuntu or OpenELEC on your laptop. If it looks good and places nice with your system hardware and TV, then install it on your laptop. If it doesn't work well, then you haven't changed anything on your laptop and it was a small investment of time.

The Core-i3 alone should work fine for any kind of htpc. Should be great.
