Errors in reading ID 3 tags in the latest nightlies
#1
Hey guys

I have been having problems with ID3 tags in the nightly builds these last few days. I run my mp3's through mp3gain and xbmc started to have some problems with that. Here is the relevant part from the debug log:

Code:
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: LoadMusicTag: loading tag information for file: smb://server/MP3/The Flaming Lips/(2012) The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends/06 - That Aint My Trip Featuring Jim James Of My Morning Jacket.mp3
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: CSmbFile::Open - opened MP3/The Flaming Lips/(2012) The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends/06 - That Aint My Trip Featuring Jim James Of My Morning Jacket.mp3, fd=10002
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: unrecognized APE tag: MP3GAIN_ALBUM_MINMAX
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: unrecognized APE tag: MP3GAIN_MINMAX
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: unrecognized APE tag: MP3GAIN_UNDO
13:25:21 T:140532520195904   DEBUG: CSmbFile::Close closing fd 10002
13:25:21 T:140532520195904    INFO: OnInfo called on a folder containing no songs with tag info - nothing can be done

If I roll back 2-3 weeks I dont have this problem so i guess it has something to do with this commit: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/1122/files

Thanks

Hey Steini - this should be no actual issue, this log entry is informational if you have debug logging enabled. I will probably commit a fix soon to disable it, sometime around the next commit window.

Do you have any issue other than the log entry?

just saw the real issue when I reread the post - my bad.
13:25:21 T:140532520195904 INFO: OnInfo called on a folder containing no songs with tag info - nothing can be done

Looking into it now.

Thanks for looking into this problem. The scan completes, but the library is corrupted. Sometimes missing artwork, wrong year etc.

I reacraped my folder with a frodo build from a couple of weeks ago and had no problems there.
