ContextMenu not showing
#46
After auto update to 3.6.1 content menu didn't show again. I rollbacked to 3.6.0 + defaults.xml in separate file and skin is working as well. Just turned off autoupdate. I'll see what's going to happen. I'm living on the edge with this Sad

I observed a couple of lockups yesterday when attempting to play an episode that had previously been watched halfway through. The skin did not pop up with the option to "Resume from xx:xx or Start from Beginning" and instead locked up.

FYI, while the new defaults.xml file did indeed resolve the context menu issue, it did not resolve the lock up when attempting to resume an episode. The skin did not pop up with the option to "Resume from xx:xx or Start from Beginning" and instead locked up.
Resuming from the context menu works properly.

Now running Openelec RC1 and Aeon Nox 3.6 with new defaults.xml from this thread.

Not true in my case...

Fyi, I ended up downgrading openelec from RC1 (1.99) to beta 7 (1.95.7) and so far aeon nox 3.6.1 has been completely stable.

I'm trying to edit sources. I get the first context menu, but not the dialog (must be DialogMediaSource.xml). Without the defaults.xml posted earlier, I didn't get even through the first step.

Running Aeon Nox 3.6.1 on fresh xbmcbuntu.

Ok, I didn't really notice this is in multiple threads. Found it with forum search Blush

I tried the zip from the other thread. Didn't see any difference. Here's my complete log. I have no problems what so ever running XBMC with Confluence. I believe my system is as close to virgin as possible. Only fixes after install have been apt-get update && apt-get upgrade, and adding "sudo service udev stop" to /etc/rc.local (to fix CPU always at 100%).

Got the same problem, you have to overwrite the xml file again.

Please right click here and choose save link. Copy the xml into the skin.aeon.nox/1080i folder, overwriting the existing one and restart XBMC. Please report back if this solves anything.

Thanks! I came here having issues with Nox, and this seems to have solved it!

Okay so fresh install of Openelec 2.0
installed the skin 3.6.1 and got lockup on context menu.
removed the old defaults.xml and copied the fixed one provided.
I am still getting a strange issue however.
If I go to movies and bring up the context menu it works fine, if I then go to TV shows the context menu will still work... BUT if i start up xbmc and go straight to TV shows and load the context menu I get a crash.

Log file
http://sprunge.us/QBXL

Second issue.
If I first go to movies and bring context menu up then go to TV shows and refresh a program it will freeze on "querying the TVDB info - 100%"

Log file
http://sprunge.us/TSHQ

After more testing if I go into movies -> context menu -> movie information -> refresh AND THEN go to TV shows -> context menu -> tv show information -> refresh EVERYTHING WORKS

Log file of it all working
http://sprunge.us/eKXP

My (uneducated guess) is that something is being initialized in the movies section but not the TV one.

Thanks in advance.

@phear: yes this is the next aired addon. Workaround is to disable next aired in the library in general skin settings.

Strange, the addons Folder doesn´t exist for me. There is only the addons_data Folder, which is integrated in Userdata, and there are Plugin Folders like Artist Slideshow or Cinema Experience and so on but nowhere the folder named skin.aeon.nox

realy strange, can anybody help me?

Folder exist, just you not seen that..

You need ssh connect to openelec like : winscp

set your openelec ip

set sftp, allow scp fallback

username: root
pass: openelec

Nod
