Hi guys, I'm running XBMCbuntu and Openelec, meaning I've tried both, for whatever reason I think I've tracked down hanging issues to the new skin. Everything has been perfectly fine up until 3.6.0 came out and since then I get freezing all the time, I've had to switch to one of the other skins and am looking to download and use the old version. Has anyone else seen anything like this? I really love the skin, it's by far the best looking in my opinion and I really hate having to not use it.

So my testing has gone something like this. I had XBMCbuntu running on an SSD and noticed freezes. I tried Openelec on the same SSD and the same freezes continued. Thought maybe the SSD was the problem so I installed both again on a USB stick, same thing again. So now I'm just running off a USB stick and using the default skin. Anything I can provide to you guys? I've got Zotac ID80 box so it has a Celeron Dsomething and an nVidia 560M with a couple gigs of RAM.

I thought you were maybe talking about some Aeon Nox debug file, I got it, try to make it hang here and see what I can get

There we go, going to Add Videos kills it everytime, I'll go see the log file

There we go, like a charm, going to Add Videos it hung. What do you want me to do with the file? Pastebin?

This is from the time I enabled debug, then selected Aeon and then tried to so Add Vidoes. As soon I hit Add Videos it hangs completely. This is typical behaviour I've been seeing in bot XBMCbuntu and Openelec, not always at Add Videos, sometimes in just random places like the library or whatever but it always seems to be the same, X freezes but I can usually still get into it in the background like SSH or one of the terminals. I think once or twice the whole box hung but... Anyway, it works fine with Confluence and I never saw these issues with 3.5 for whatever reason

can i also chime in here, im also seeing crash issues when running openelec and aeon nox 3.6, if i switch to confluence no issues, im seeing crash when pressing the skip button on my mce remote for a movie with no chapters, i also am seeing crashing when attempting to bring up the initial menu by pressing the center ok button on mce for a movie (normally brings up resume/play/show information menu) the only way around this is a complete restart of openelec,

as stated im not seeing either of these crash issues when performing the same actions on the same movies using confluence. pastebin url for my xbmc debug log below:-

i have tried rolling back to 3.5 but wierdly this doesnt seem to fix the issue, so im beginning to wonder if there is some other plugin at work here that also got updated when 3.6 got updated.

thanks for any help with this, its pretty frustrating right now :-(.

Where did you get the 3.5 version? I've been trying to find a manual download for 3.5 somewhere

using xbmc rollback feature on the skin, didnt fix it for me though so not sure whats going on :-( interesting that the issue is present in xbmcbuntu

Nuts, if I had the 3.5 zip I'd be set because since I've figure out its the skin I have to reinstall XBMC on my box anyway

Yes, I'm getting constant crashes/freezes too. Posted a debug log in another thread. I've tried everything suggested- disabling movie sets, next aired, deleting database folder, nothing works. MQ3 and Confluence work fine.
