HOW-TO Compile Tvheadend & HDHomerun on Synology NAS
Hey, schumi2004. I just can't seem to stay quiet on one version of tvheadend Smile

Taking a look at the tvheadend website and github I noticed that a user added support for SAT-IP tunner ... I have one lying around and would be cool to try it out.

The changes haven't been merged to the master, they are here instead: https://github.com/perexg/tvheadend/tree/for-merge

Do you happen to know which files I should change to be able and compile this version?

Thanks once again!

Confirmed working on DS211J DSM 5.0-4482 HDHR3-EU. Thanks to http://syno.dierkse.nl/ The first time I saw this link and it directly worked !

History DSM 4.2 Everything (TVHeadend, Oscam with Smargo smartreader, HDHR, XBMC) worked fine on DSM 4.2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2osStoW1m4

History DSM 4.3 Problems with drivers. Oscam did not work. TVHeadend slow.

The future looks better with DSM 5.0, however still needs to install and test Oscam. But HDHR in combination with Synology DS211J works great.

If you don't understand how to use git then stay away from it and don't come whine here again.
Go to https://github.com/, see the 4 nice little boxes on top of screen (under the blue bar).
Don't understand why i even posting this for you, wasn't that hard to find.

Version 570-3 doesn't have SAT>IP support. It should come more or less after 3.9.633. Binaries are not yet available.

it is not possible to compile the binaries

Yes, that's what I heard as well.
I think I was able to compile it (at least I didn't notice any errors in the output, and the package does run on DSM), but I only tried the bromolow arch.
I'm still waiting to get my SAT-IP tuner, so I haven't been able to test that.
Not sure what architectures are giving errors.

The NAS with QORIQ have many problems. I couldn't get to work with the DS 213+ with my DVB-S2 SkyStar USB. Debian Chroot is unavailable to this PPC CPU. This sucks Sad

Hi aisman

you can test this version by jdierks
you must add this package in your center:

Hi MZman58

Thank you, but I'm able to build tvheadend for qoriq, my difficulties associated with compiling modules for DVB-cards.
