Hi,
The recommendation for groups 2+3 (720p/1080p playback with not much else) are Apple TVs of one kind or another. In my case, I'm trying to play mostly SD & 720p content with the odd bit of 1080p to an old high-end CRT, via a SCART connection. Apple TV supports just HDMI out, as far as I can see, and I've been using a VGA/SCART adaptor to get going. Are there any cheap bits of hardware that fit this scenario: 1080p decoding, 640x480 playback, VGA output?
