I've got 2 Raspberry Pi's running raspbmc. I have a matching nightly on my desktop. My desktop has mysql installed and is hosting the shared library for all 3.
I got a new hard drive which I'm considering turning into a NAS and using that instead of a SMB share from my desktop as I'm currently using.
My question is, if my desktop is off, how do the Pi's (XBMC) handle updating the database when the desktop comes back up and the database becomes available? Or do I need something that's running 24/7 for the shared library to work as intended?
