if the left joystick is not at 0,0 (or the deadzone) on any controller the triggers do not respond and therefor scrolling does not work.
often controllers will be slightly out of calibration or may be laying on the joystick in the rats nest of controllers. this causes all other controllers triggers to not respond. the offending controller needs to be found and calibrated/fixed
beyond that its easy to touch the left joystick while scrolling anyways.
as left thumb is not used for input atm is this neccicary?
