I've searched all over but couldn't find enough details regarding XBMC's closed caption support. It seems that there was a confusion regarding closed caption and subtitles, and XBMC seems to be treating them the same, which is really a shame since they are not the same. Closed caption is different from subtitle, and closed caption is used widely in US from TV programs to movies etc. More and more online video is supporting closed caption as well.

So I really hope that XBMC can offer real closed caption support. It'll be great for hearing impaired, and also great for learning a new language.
