Recently installed 64-bit lubuntu 12.10, and xbmc from official repos.
The problem is that all removable drives get mounted by the system(in /media folder) but they do not show up automatically in xbmc files menu(videos>files or music>files or pictures>files).
Additionally,Previously(in ubuntu 12.04), i could see the individual drives in the "add sources" menu, but now i have to browse all the way to root filesystem>/media/<external drive here> to add them manually.

what could be the problem?
this is tedious because i have to manually add pendrives as source everytime i connect them
