I am new to this forum, and I found this fourm by searching HTPC build. I found lots of useful information in the fourm, and very easy to find the information that I needed . Thanks for all the input form everyone. Ecpecially eskro!!


I am going to build my first HTPC, and it's also my first DIY PC. I still have some questions, and I need some suggestion.


I need a HTPC for these purpose:
Win7, HTPC, XBMC, play 1080p movie, HDMI, S/PDIF, the HTPC will be connected to a TV and a monitor(for Karaoke display), reciver and Audio 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker System, need wireless streaming(480P, barely 720P), not gaming

Any advice for my build? I need some suggestions for motherboard, CPU cooler, and wireless card, do I need any other fan for this build? Is 300W power is too much?
