I see a lot of different things being said in this thread. I'm about to order this remote and am curious before I jump.
Windows 8 + Kodi, will I be able to get all the buttons mapped? Googling I'm seeing threads saying everything from you can't remap certain buttons to you need to buy an FLIRC if you want to use buttons like the Menu one. But, I'm not sure if they're talking about under Linux/Android or all OS's. This thread makes it sound like there are ways to get it working 100% under Windows, just want to verify with someone who uses it.

Okay I got my remote today and have been messing with it since I got it, Menu, STB & TV buttons aren't working. Neither is the A.I. Power, but I suspect that's a special button for something else. In Showkey none of those are showing a command. So I installed Eventghost and tried adding a generic HID & Keyboard with the XBMC2 plugin. Those buttons still aren't showing up. Someone in this thread said they got all the buttons working, I'm wondering how? I know with my HP HDX remote I had to download a .REG to get certain buttons to work. I have the deluxe and it looks like the people in this thread who got it working have the pro. That one's IR and mine's RF, that could be my problem?
When I run Eventghost with the HID & Keyboard I am getting commands sent from the Game & Mybox keys at the bottom. Which weren't sending anything before, but still no dice on the other buttons. Not sure what to do next, anyone care to help?

Hello,
I successfully use the MELE F10 (NOT the PRO!!!) since about two years with OpenElec and now LibreElec.
In any case (also under Windows or Linux) you need a configuration-file under hwdb.d containing some informations for four buttons:
You have to store this into a textfile e.g. named 99-mele_F10.hwdb. (Search for this in the forum or wiki)
Mine looks like this:
# keyboard:usb:v1915pAF11* <- uncomment and use this line, if you are using any kodi-version < 16
evdev:input:b0003v1915pAF11* # in any other case, use this line
KEYBOARD_KEY_090001=enter # Left Mouse Button: Center in Pad
KEYBOARD_KEY_090002=back # Right Mouse Button: Back
KEYBOARD_KEY_090003=f11 # Menu Button (inverted U with 2 horizontal lines)
KEYBOARD_KEY_0c0089=f12 # TV Info Button (square with arrow pointing outward)
Now you have to create your keyboard.xml to use these (and the other already recognized) buttons.
You can use all buttons except the power-Button, because to use this you need any lirc-compatible connector within your kodi-mediacenter.
My keyboard.xml looks like this:
<keymap>
<global>
<keyboard>
<return>Select</return>
<home>ContextMenu</home>
<f1>BackSpace</f1>
<f2>Delete</f2>
<f3>PreviousMenu</f3>
<f4>ActivateWindow(shutdownmenu)</f4>
<volume_up>PageUp</volume_up>
<volume_down>PageDown</volume_down>
<volume_mute>FirstPage</volume_mute>
<enter>Select</enter>
<back>Back</back>
<f11>Info</f11>
<f12>togglewatched</f12>
</keyboard>
<mouse>
<mousemove>Noop</mousemove>
<doubleclick>Noop</doubleclick>
<wheeldown>Noop</wheeldown>
<wheelup>Noop</wheelup>
<mousedrag>Noop</mousedrag>
</mouse>
</global>
<VirtualKeyboard>
<keyboard>
<back>PreviousMenu</back>
<enter>osdselect</enter>
</keyboard>
</VirtualKeyboard>
<Slideshow>
<keyboard>
<volume_up>zoomin</volume_up>
<volume_down>zoomout</volume_down>
<volume_mute>zoomnormal</volume_mute>
<f11>RecursiveSlideshow</f11>
<home>Slideshow</home>
</keyboard>
</Slideshow>
<FullscreenVideo>
<keyboard>
<return>OSD</return>
<home>AspectRatio</home>
<f1>Rewind</f1>
<f2>Pause</f2>
<f3>Stop</f3>
<f4>FastForward</f4>
<volume_up>VolumeUp</volume_up>
<volume_down>VolumeDown</volume_down>
<volume_mute>Mute</volume_mute>
<enter>OSD</enter>
<f11>CodecInfo</f11>
<f12>stereomode</f12>
</keyboard>
</FullscreenVideo>
<VideoOSD>
<keyboard>
<return>Select</return>
<f1>Rewind</f1>
<f2>Pause</f2>
<f3>Stop</f3>
<f4>FastForward</f4>
<enter>Select</enter>
<back>Close</back>
</keyboard>
</VideoOSD>
</keymap>
If you use OpenElec or LibreElec with Kodi >= 16, copy the keyboard.xml to the Userdata\keymaps - folder
and the 99-mele_F10.hwdb to the Configfiles\hwdb.d - folder
Restart the system, finish.
