Caching option for default player?
#1
Hi,

hope this is the right area to post!

I have some trouble with video streaming over network. My XBMC-Box is connection via D-LAN (Powerline)... seems that my apartment is wired very bad so I just get a pretty bad connection (about 4-6 MB/s).
Because of that about the half of my SD videos stuttering at an extreme level. For HD videos (MKV) I included external player using VLC with max buffersize. Works pretty fine but I dont want to play everything with VLC.

Is there any option to change the buffersize for the default XBMC video player? I changed some caching options in guisettings.xml and also added the "cachemembuffersize" option in advancedsettings.xml... has just no effect on my video Sad

XBMC would basically need a file-cache system for it to really work for your situation, but it does not have this ability at this time.
