I have one type of video file that XBMC cannot play properly.
They originate from a standalone Freeview HD PVR. The files are from DVBT2 transmission in the UK: HD H.264 .ts with aac 5.1 audio.
The video plays okay but often the 5.1 audio does not play and is not being passed through to the Amplifier at all.
The same results mostly happen when playing the files in VLC but one device that can play them perfectly is the Dune HD TV 301 player.
My hardware is a very recently purchased Pulsebox and I feed audio out via HDMI.

Sounds like the file just doesn't conform to standard video specs. Seems common with ts streams. Might try checking it with something like Cypheros TS-Doctor.
You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc |

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't heard of this programme before so I'll give the trial version a go.
