App. for iPhone/iPad/Android to control all networked devices??
#1
Hi,

May be I am approaching this the wrong way or this may not be the place to post this, but I will go ahead with it anyway...

Is there no single app. that can be used to control all networked devices, similar to a Logitech One remote? I am looking at so many interesting developments here, but they seem to be sort of fragmented.

I have separate apps. on my iPad to control XBMC, Roku and Audio receiver. But I don't see apps. to control PS3. I have seen comments that this is not possible as PS3 is bluetooth based. I do not know what is involved here and so posing what might be a naiive question. Is it not possible to connect iPhone/iPad/Android to PS3 over network and control it?

Thanks for any suggestions and/or clarifications...

This indeed is very interesting. While searching for this, I accidentally came upon Dijit, which is an IR blaster just like the one Logitech has. Do not know whose idea was it originally and who later stole it. Blush
Thanks ArieS. Appreciate the info.Smile
